8 Fat Fat 8, or Fatty 8, as it is affectionately called by some loyal regulars, has occupied a spot on Beretania, near Keeamoku, for over 20 years. From the outside, it looks like the sort of scary "buy me drinkee" bar that you'd want to stay away from, but as with Club Queen Bee, that's hardly the case here. Instead, Fatty 8 is more of a cross between a Chinese restaurant (it's Chinese-run, if you couldn't tell by the name of the place) and a neighborhood watering hole where locals come to get their sports fix. Happy hour is daily from 4 p.m.-7 p.m., with daily $3.50 drink specials. Recommendations: Try the Special Chicken, or the beef chow fun.
