It's still one of the most happening spots for live local music, pupu, cocktails and after-work chilling. A lively, cheerful crowd jams this lanai bar nightly, downing beer, martinis, cosmos and of course the signature Mai Tais. (They even have an icy Mai Tai made like shaved ice.) There are comfy, island-style tables and chairs, but good luck trying to nab some seats for you and your buddies. It's standing room only here, especially on Friday nights. Locals don't mind its Ala Moana location. It just means there's always parking.

Arrived @ the Mai Tai Bar in the Ala Moana Mall in July 2008 for food and drink.. had an early dinner at the bar and 4 drinks.. closed out my tab.....
