The pizza
June 24, 2009
Yes, there's a menu, but J.J.'s lets you order different combinations on the same pizza. You can also build your own for $15 plus $1.50 for each topping. "You only have yourself to blame," reads the disclaimer on the menu. Despite the lack of any outlandish toppings, there are lots of different choices.
Pizza is the only thing you'll find on the menu, but every so often (read: whenever the urge strikes them) the chefs make sub sandwiches, fish & chips, and buffalo wings during the day.
We ordered our first pizza with both Pizza Margherita ($16 for a whole pie), a mix of tomatoes, basil and cheeses, and The Scampi ($17), loaded with chunks of shrimp and J.J.'s special scampi sauce. Max, who's originally from the East Coast, said the scampi is his favorite on the menu.
