First look: Deuce

The theme nights

Every month, Deuce features a different theme. April's was a purple and gold Arabian Nights event. Last weekend's was Stellar, and the space was decorated with hanging cutout stars and little star accents sprinkled here and there. Promoters say future themes may include an ever-popular black-and-white party, a toga party, and an event with a nautical theme. They promise there will always be a theme, but unlike a lot of theme parties, they won't push partygoers to go shopping for extravagant new outfits to dress the part.

A perk for those who get into themes: The cover is free before 11 p.m. for anyone who makes the effort to dress the part.
