Gone are the days when Loft could only be found by those in the know and those observant enough to notice the music coming from the second floor of a nondescript bakery on a seedy stretch of Hotel Street. Now Loft has a sign, and a full bar, and it's still one of only a few venues where good live indie bands play. The outside may still be seedy, but walk through the door and you enter a whole new dimension, with huge paper lanterns and ambient lighting. As long as the atmosphere of sheer curtains and chandeliers remain, it will be one of the more attractive clubs on the Island. And you can't beat those little nooks with their comfy couches.
