Here's Jennifer Buxbaum from Outback Steak House in Waikiki, who placed first in the cocktail contest with her hot toddy, which mixed Rosangel, bourbon, and hot hibiscus tea, topped with a tangy agave mousse.
Pearl Ultralounge hosted a Rosangel cocktail contest on Monday night, pitting some of the best bartenders in town against each other for cash prizes and gift certificates. The rules: create a cocktail using Rosangel Gran Centenario, a tequila infused with hibiscus blossoms. The panel of judges (one of them was Tracy Chan from Metromix) awarded points for creativity, presentation, mixability, taste and garnish. Among the bartenders were Jennifer Buxbaum from Outback Steakhouse in Waikiki (pictured here), who took first place with her hot toddy, and Christian Self from thirtyninehotel, who took second place.
