I didn't know that Honolulu had any "Celebrities" on this island. The pics look good. What type of Celebrities does Honolulu have?

One of the first places I walked into when I arrived in April. I was not disappointed. It has the charm adn appeal of a local watering hole up until the time the band shows up. Then the people come from everywhere! I haven't heard any bad music being played there! The beer selection is great, the bartenders and staff are great and the food is exceptional because it's NOT typical bar food! The Shepard's Pie (both versions) is really good and the corn beef sandwich is very flavorful, but sometimes you might encounter a few bites of 'tough' meat! So wash it down with another beer! If they would just install a few more TV's with the sound turned up, I would do all my NFL watching there! Give it a try. If you like the music scene and a a 'fuller house', show up after 9:00 PM. It will be a good time!
ReannaW wrote about Mai Tai Bar at the Royal Hawaiian
I am the type of person who doesn't like to be surrounded by a lot of people when I am enjoying a night of drinks. AKA, the club scene is not for me. Mai Tai Bar at the Royal Hawaiian is pretty secluded, and did not get overwhelmingly crowded once. My boyfriend and I were able to enjoy a romantic night with some drinks. He stuck to beer, while I tried various different cocktails. My favorite was the Ty Ku 'Asian Caiprioska'. Very refreshing. I would recommend this bar for any couple on vacation.

The Blue Ribbon Bar and Grill makes their patrons feel as if it is their second home. Everyone (staff and patrons) are quick with a smile, and just as quick to bring you into the fold if you happen to return. The drinks and food are standard fare with the emphasis on simplicity in the preparation of their pupus. The karaoke selection is in a class by itself. For those who yearn for songs from the '50s, '60s, '70s, etc., the Blue Ribbon can't be beat. Songs come out quickly, and are evenly spaced amongst the patrons when at all possible. The owners and managers treat all patrons as if they were family. Parking on busy evenings is a chore, but well worth the effort. A "local bar" with class and ambience. Check it out!

Don't let the the humble exterior fool you, this bar and grille has something for everyone who wants to just chill out. The ownership and staff members are all friendly and welcoming. The food is outstanding. Personal favorites includes 8 Fat Fat 8 chicken, edamame (soybeans), fried rice, sauteed lettuce, and gizzards (yes, gizzards). The beer selection is one of the most extensive with a variety that will impress. Personal favorite is the Boddington's that they started to bring in after I inquired about it a while back. To top it all off, they play sports events on tv including UH Warrior games, they have darts, a pool table, and of course KARAOKE!

Blue Ocean has terrible food and horrible service. First experience there was not a very good one. Waitress could hardly take orders, chicken tasted as if it was soaked over night in salt water and when complained about it they simply brushed it off. Ten thumbs DOWN!!

chyna00ll wrote about Pearl Ultralounge
I don't know why everyone else is giving Pearl such bad ratings. Yes, there are a few nights where they play some retarded music... techno and dance or what not. But, overall my many experiences have been great. The bouncers are very friendly, the staff in its entirety, to include the bartenders are awesome. I have never experienced any rudeness by any staff. It's very clean and the ambience is nice. Drinks cost as much as they cost at any other club. The crowd is very diverse, which is always nice. There is a wide range of ages and ethnicities. Pearl is definitely one of the top 3 clubs in Oahu and I would definitely recommend it to the person who likes going clubbing. Now, if you want to be casual and wear flip flops, then this is not the club to go to. There is a dress code. They pride themselves by that, and the quality of people that go there.

@VanHerk hmm.. could you possibly be an insecure 'nightclub' owner yourself? why all of the controversy and so much to say? weird, news FLASH: as a patron and customer of many night clubs that honolulu has to offer... soho is what it is. seems like you stick to the SKYLINES of waikiki and honolulu.. leave china town to those of us who can see vision, art, media and hard work with bare hands. you know, real people?

Hello, First of all, congratulations for the site - great job. Now, I am trying to find a picture of a guy whose custom was an Egyptian Pharaoh - he was in Kalakaua and I think at Sr. Frog afterwards. He had an amazing abs and really great body. I need some pictures of him - we are trying to reach him to offer him some work as model. Does anybody have a picture of this person? Thank you and again, congratulations.

If you love great food...this is the place. If you love to watch the games...this is the place. If you want to dance your butt off all night...this is the place!!! What bar doesn't have fights and altercations...Beer and people really don't mix but we do it anyways right?! I love that they have strict policies and I think most bars should do the same. The doorman even carded me and Im 27! But I was impressed on how well these so called "Goriila" dorormen work. They really don't take crap from anybody and I feel safer knowing that if something does "break out" these "Gorillas" are ready for it. The people are friendly and even when my brother had lost his wallet a man found it in the bathroom and gave it to the doorman. There are always going to have negative feedbacks but you tend to realize later on that only the good feedbacks get affected..the bad feedbacks are only good for one thing...giving fuel. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and my opinion on the gentleman that had a bad experience is...you were one of the them that got kicked out, started something or got too drunk. Because when we're there and something bad happens,I garuntee you its one of these three things that make people hate Chez. Im all for Chez and I'll be seeing yall soon! Thanks!
alyn wrote about Champions Sports Bar
Customer service is the key attraction to any sports bar as well as feeling a sense of 'ohana.' The experience at Champions provided for a very horrendous and disappointing venture. We waited almost 1/2 hour before a server approached our table to take our order. When we were served our food, the waitress just turned away without rendering any words. I had to try to get her attention in order to request some catsup and shoyu for my meal. In fact, I had to ask a second time. The 2 waitresses working were unfriendly, unprofessional and by the looks on their faces, they didn't seem quite happy and it reflected in their service. They didn't smile nor did they convey any genuineness to service the clientele. In addition, the prices are high and the serving relatively not in porportion with minimal value in flavor or presentation. My eggs were drenched in oil (at least 1 tsp) and the pancakes were sort of heavy in texture. I seriously would not recommend this sports bar. Treatment and service are bad!!!
