Alter Solum
If you're a member of the underground electronica/industrial scene, chances are you've already heard of this place, located in the same building as Ong King Arts Center. Like the old Galaxy nightclub, affectionately known as "Seventeen's," this place is a two-room BYOB club with an 18+ rule and lots of space to lounge or dance. Think cool, psychadelic lighting, glowsticks, DJ tables suspended from the ceiling with chains, and the craziest hairdos between LA and Japan. Every Friday afternoon at 4 p.m., there's a live punk show, with electronic dance music right after, starting at 10 p.m. On First Fridays, they've got underground hip-hop and house music in the mix.
