Party pics: Hawaii Animation Studios Grand Opening

Hawaii Animation Studios, the first studio of its kind on Oahu, celebrated its grand opening Thursday night at 1132 Bishop St. with a party that included local politicans, VIPs from the community, and employees and interns on hand for a meet & greet. The new studio, led by Dan Krech, Joe Serafini, John Morch and Jeff Bell from Toronto-based Entrenched Inc., has already hired most of its staff and interns from the University of Hawaii for big upcoming projects, including "Veggie Tales," "Hubble 3D" and a major motion picture from The Weinstein Company.
