When you go to an event at the Hawaii Theatre, try not to be distracted by the theatre itself - the mosaics, the box seats, the ornate columns. The Hawaii Theatre is a grand presence and just being there is an event. The entertainment that crosses its stage varies from David Sedaris to Margaret Cho to Takio drumming to barbershop quartets, which means at some point you'll make it down there.
