Kailua Fourth of July Fireworks and Parade
July 1, 2009
It looked like Kailua might not have fireworks this year, but enough money was raised by the Save Kailua Fireworks group that the traditional Fourth of July parade and fireworks will, indeed, go off. The parade starts at 10 a.m. at Kainalu Elementary School and marches to Kailua District Park, with marching bands, veterans from the armed forces, clowns, and more. The fireworks will be lit over Kailua Bay when it gets dark.
