Attending a concert at the Waikiki Shell is quite an experience. You'll have to contend with other concertgoers for a spot on the lawn, then try to make out what's being said on stage via the Shell's notoriously spotty sound system. It all adds up to a seminal concert experience. And yes, there's music too. There are a number of concerts throughout the year, but one of the most popular is the “Kokua Festival," the brainchild of local boy Jack Johnson.
