Dragon Boat Festival

The first day of races at the Dragon Boat Festival at Ala Moana Beach Park took place Saturday, and teams from a number of government and community organizations turned out with their tents to celebrate. The dragon boat teams, which consist of a crew of 16 paddlers, a drummer, flag catcher and steersman, will compete in open races and industry races Sunday as well, so head down to the beach and cheer them on.
