Why are you in Kalihi? You need to go to Industrial Sites, Warehouse Site and Construction Sites. Campbell Industrial alon has over 20 wagons on the main drag. You don't have to break your neck looking for them, they're right on the main road ~ BUFFET Galore. Elena's Filipino (bright orange Truck) been there for over 20 yrs., Laneys (silver truck) over 2o years, Laverne's (hawaiian food), even Bostons Pizza has a lunch truck, Steak guys, M & L. Go there, you on the wrong side of the island.

I was not impressed with this restaurant. The service was bad and the food definately needs improvement. In my opinion, the look of the restaurant does not come close to what a real English pub looks like. I would not waste my time or money here.

Pick me! I'm a self proclaimed food critic who lives to eat. I enjoy cooking and watching Food Network TV religiously. I appreciate the art, patience, and simplicity involved in Japanese cuisine. Raw fish and unagi dishes are my usual staples, but no Shokudo visit is complete without Honey Toast dessert at the end!

That's pretty cool that Shokudo is coming out with an "After Dark" menu. My favorite dish is probably the Sukiyaki Bimbimbap Rice. I've tried other of their foods, but I still prefer my Sukiyaki Bimbimbap Rice. I don't really care for their bento boxes. At first I thought the idea was neat, but didn't enjoy the food as much as I had thought I would. If I ordered each of the items seperately (versus in a bento box) the food actually tasted better. For example the gyoza in the box was hard and dry, but when I ordered the appetizer is was delicious. The main entree was the steak and it was tough to eat, but if i had ordered the steak just by itself it was tasty. Maybe I just had bad luck with that, but I always look forward to what's new on their list. I enjoy eating at Shokudo and have a love for Japanese food. Not sure if I would be a good "foodie" though.
