Hot in Honolulu: Tropics Cafe

At Tropics Cafe, live music happens seven nights a week. The setting is small and cozy, with surprisingly good acoustics. It's easy to feel an intimate connection with the bands. Some nights, there are actual concerts. But other times, it's just local musicians taking the stage for improv jam sessions.

On a recent night, members of two local bands, The Ionz and a'amele, performed an improv reggae and dub jam session.
