She performs around the globe, but Jasmine Trias is very much a local girl when it comes to food and fun. The 21-year-old singer and "American Idol" Season 3 finalist likes her katsu, kim chee fried rice and fruit mojitos – and she knows the best places in town to get them.
The Maryknoll grad, who on Thursday wraps up her show at the Outrigger Waikiki Hotel with The Society of Seven Las Vegas, spoke to Metromix about her favorite spots in town.
Where are your favorite places for local food, and what do you order?

Tanioka's — For some fresh poke.
Yummy's Korean BBQ — I love their meat jun plate with shoyu potatos and noodles.
Side Street Inn — The kim chee fried rice is da bomb!

Alan Wong's Restaurant — They have great seafood entrees.
The Cheesecake Factory — They have a great menu to choose from if you don't know what you want. I love the ambiance of this restaurant.
For a casual romantic night ou I like Dee Thai in Kapahulu. It's a cute, boutique-ish restaurant, and they have great Thai food!!

Where do you go to catch live music?
Mai Tai’s is a great place to catch live Island music. It's always packed, so it's a great place to socialize and meet new people. Aloha Tower always has great music also.
Where do you go to dance?
I'm not much of a club-goer, but I had my 21st birthday party at Pearl and I had a blast!
What's on your iPod?
With thousands of songs on my iPod, it's so hard to pick 10! I love to listen to all kinds of music, from old school to what's new on the radio.
Although her Waikiki gig is over, Trias has a busy fall schedule. She's scheduled to perform at a concert in Glendale, Calif. on Sept. 13 to benefit the Asian American Drug Abuse Program. She's also confirmed to be part o the "American Idol" singers' revue from Sept. 23-Oct. 26 in Branson, Mo. Trias is also busy at work on her second album.
