The crowd

Although the past two restaurants at this location — Dixie Grill and Tio's Garage & Taco Station — didn't fare well, Kanpai seems more promising. The place was packed during our recent visits, with locals eating, drinking, hanging out and watching the game.
Okay now, let's talk about the food. For many of us Slammers was our "Side Street Inn," and we hoped despite moving to new digs, they'd keep our old favorites. For the most part, though the menu items aren't exactly the same, the flavors are still there — expertly seasoned with an extra edge of salt that makes you crave the next round of beer.
