Buffalo Boys is owned by Buffalo, N.Y., natives Tomas Arana and Eric Richter, who saw a need for a real hoagie and wings joint, and decided to fill it.
There are basically two options at Buffalo Boys — steak or chicken. Chicken comes in the form of wings, boneless chicken fingers and in subs, dressed with sauce that's either hot, medium, mild or BBQ. Steak is 100 percent sirloin steak, chopped on the grill and stuffed into a roll with various toppings. You can also get chicken or steak on top of a salad, in case the sight of all the fryers in the back suddenly remind you of your cholesterol level.
The first thing we notice missing from the menu is beer. Beer and wings go together like Ashton Kutcher and Twitter followers. Buffalo Boys doesn't have a liquor license yet, but in the meantime, it's not BYOB, either. (They said they're working on it...) It's a shame because Kokua Market next door has a fine selection of beers that we'd love to be drinking with our wing and hoagie fest.
