Fried rice

The first thing we ordered was the fried rice. It arrived as a huge mound of rice, peas, onions, eggs, and — bonus! — lup chong. It’s so rare to find lup chong in restaurant fried rice that we had to keep eating, even after we passed the full point. Plus, there was still enough left over to take home.
The only way Kaimuki Grill could improve on this savory taste of heaven is to add diced Portuguese sausage.
Cost: $8.50
Verdict: Yum! (One of our favorites)
