Eating at City Square

Some of us may be old enough to remember the Kapalama GEM department store, one of the landmarks of the Dillingham area. The store is gone, but an expansive shopping center has taken its place to serve the community with a police station, the Department of Motor Vehicles, Koolau Farmers, Kalihi Pets, craft stores, salons, and of course, restaurants.
We happened to visit City Square one day at lunch to find that the restaurants are packed — not just with neighborhood workers, but with people who drive out of their way to eat local favorites. So we decided to check each of them out, and here’s what we found…

Yes I am old enough to remember GEM. Thanks for reviewing the eateries at City Square, we will definitely make the trip to check them out.
