Myer Lemon Kanten
March 17, 2009
The name is more than a mouthful: Meyer Lemon Ume Kanten Fruit Parfait with Mochi Drops. Like everything else, the flavor is light and not too tart, with the unique lemon/ume flavored jelly cut into dainty heart or sakura (cherry blossom) shapes. The fresh fruit, lychee juice, and little mochi morsels provide contrasting textures that simply work together in yin/yang fashion. After the first bite, one friend plowed through this like a machine, grinding methodically without speaking until she was done.
Cost: $6.50
Verdict: Yum!
