9. Belgian waffles — Cafe Kaila

Although the small café in Kaimuki is more known for its cinnamon French toast, I really enjoy the not-too-sweet homemade waffles ($6.95) topped with melted butter, maple syrup and whipped cream.

There’s no better way to stave off the Monday blahs during lunch than by eating waffles. Trust me.
