Hanamaru
- Puck's Alley
- 2600 S. King St.
- Honolulu, HI 96826
- 808-941-0909
- Price range: $$ ($9-$15)
You may have noticed Hanamaru's rainbow-colored sign, one of the few signs of life at the seemingly blighted Puck's Alley. This rainbow theme goes beyond the front door, with colorful design and food awaiting. Students have already discovered this place, forcing owners to expand the hours only two months after opening. (They now stay open until 1 a.m.) Along with a full sushi bar, there's standard Japanese fare - butterfish, tempura and sukiyaki beef. If you go between 5 p.m.-6 p.m., you can get one of six early-bird combination dinners for only $12.50. Not bad, considering it comes with miso soup and salad. By the way, Hanamaru is owned by the same folks who run Hatsuhana at the Hilton Hawaiian Village.

One of the worst, if not the worst places to have dinner at! If star rating could be at zero, that's where this restaurant would rate. Will never...
