Yuchun is a pretty famous place... at least among Koreans and visiting Japanese. It’s been written up in several Japanese magazines and is usually crammed with Japanese tourists and Koreans-in-the-know during the lunch rush. The reason: the house specialty noodles or mul naeng myun. The noodles, made from arrowroot, are served cold and topped with beef and vegetables in an ice-cold beef broth. Koreans know good naeng myun when they taste it, and this is great naeng myun – chewy and refreshing in a wonderfully seasoned base that doesn’t really need the typical vinegar add-in. Yuchun used to be located on Keeaumoku Street, but moved to this larger space on Kapiolani Boulevard, near McKinley Car Wash.
