With its reputation as one of Honolulu's hautest dining establishments, you might be rightly wary of over-splurging at Nobu Waikiki. However, with the restaurant's introduction of Aperitivo!, sampling the menu suddenly has become an economically feasible pau hana option. Or has it?
The European-style dining event is available on weekdays from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. For $18, you get three tastes of the chef’s choosing and a cocktail. Considering that one drink here costs approximately $14, it's definitely a bargain. The only apparent caveat is that Aperitivo! is served only in the lounge, not in the dining room.
So what exactly do you get at Aperitivo!? Can you actually come away from Nobu satiated and only 20 bucks poorer?
