First look: Burgers on the Edge

Hot off the grill, Burgers on the Edge opened on July 4 on Kapahulu Avenue at the new Safeway complex. It's definitely not your typical fast-food burger joint, with choices like Wagyu beef, roasted garlic aioli, blue cheese and foie gras. It also stays open until 2 a.m. on the weekends, giving late-night diners a quick, gourmet option in a convenient location. Judging from the crowds congregating at this nouveau burger stand, it appears Honolulu has already embraced this hip, new burger experience.
