You spend $7.50 for a garlic ahi plate lunch which is quite pricey for a plate lunch in Hawaii but considering that it is served with their signature sweet wasabi sauce (see website picture of the Garlic Ahi plate with the wasabi sauce all over it) might be well worth the price. I was in for a shock when I opened my plate lunch and found that they forgot to put their signature sauce over the fish. There were no other sauce, not even tartar sauce. I had to eat it with shoyu which my co-worker found in his desk drawer. The fish was too dry to enjoy with only shoyu. Yes, it needed some type of sauce with it. Sorry but being a first time customer, I was really disappointed that there was no quality control person (maybe the cashier) overlooking to ensure that all the orders were done right. Forgetting to put the sauce over the fish is like serving Loco Moco without gravy.

First time customer, was little hard to find without address because their business sign was little small to see across the street. Was able to get the last parking stall, so car pool if possible--limited parking as well as tables to eat. For my first visit, I wanted to try something safe and know, so I ordered their Garlic Chicken. Presentation, plate looks like any other plate lunch. Took the first bite, the chicken was cooked perfect not too hard like some places, tasted the garlic, but not like En fuego in Kapolei (ono) nor like Aiea Alley Restuarant (Da Best). Koi needs some improvement in this area. Would I order this again? Most likely not. Would I come again, maybe, but not immediate because my friend's order was not done right.
