The teppanyaki franchise Tanaka of Tokyo has thrown its flying steak knives over to Ala Moana Shopping Center’s hip and happening Ho'okipa Terrace, taking over the space once occupied by Jackie Chan and his kitchen.
Suprisingly, the space is larger than it looks from the outside. There's enough room to walk between teppanyaki stations without having to suck in your gut. What stays the same though is the menu, which specializes in various meat and seafood items that are clangingly prepared by chefs right in front of you.
