I think we should definitely be questioning the origins of our food more. In regard to the salmon, the only chance of getting wild salmon is during the season (late spring to summer), so probably any salmon you get anywhere now is farmed. Unfortunately, since wild salmon is so rare here, even during the season, if it ever does make an appearance in our galleries, I'm sure we would tout it. I'd also encourage you to ask restaurants about it so that they know customers care about issues like this and it could affect their purchasing decisions in the future. In the meantime, buy any of the dozen varieties of local, wild, tasty fish and support our local fishery!
