It's been around forever, looking exactly the way it did in the 80s, with the same-tasting New England clam chowder and shrimp cocktail. And that's a good thing. Locals and tourists meet at the Chowder House when they want comfort food in a comfortable setting with comfortable prices. Interestingly enough, they've got a full bar. This is one of the spots Barack Obama hits when he journeys back to his high school hometown.
