Still the best shave ice in Hawaii

Lines are usually long, but I think Island Snow is still the best shave ice in Hawaii. Definitely the cleanest and coolest shave ice store. Always was a fan of their IS goods (they are the only ones I know that had collaborations with the likes of Stussy, LRG, Recon, Obey, Volcom ......). Went to Kailua to get my shave ice fix and found out that they finally got their online store up and running. Even has the exclusive Kailua Boys stuff. They said there will soon have Stussy and LRG online as well.

The Kailua Island Snow is the last one standing. The owner decided to retire last year, and I think he lives in Kailua. Still wish the Ala Moana Center and Waikiki stores were around, but you can still get the Island Snow and SRF gear at their Kailua store. They do have the cleanest shave ice store, and in my opinion the best shave ice on the island. My only complaint is the long lines. Oh well, I hear even Obama stood in line. I go over the hill to get my IS gear, but the guys there tell me that due to the demand, they may sell online soon, first with their own gear, and then brand such as Stussy, LRG, Obey, etc. I still have my set of IS collab Ts with these Companies. Collectors items for sure.

island snow has the monopoly on the windward side but that doesn't mean that they can slack off on the quality, the opposite is true. they have great shaved ice with all the flavors and sides such as cream and azuki. even obama had shave ice there and island snow came out with an obama kailua tee! check it out after a day at the beach, you won't be sorry.
