  • In 2006, Joy Vixaysakd bought 18-year-old Krung Thai restaurant from the retiring owner, and renamed it Cafe Joy, with the subtitle "Thai and Lao Flavors." At the steam-table operation, you point and pick. Daily changing options include a range of curries (red, yellow, green, panang, masaman), and the Laotian specialty pad ka pao, a stir-fry of green beans, ground beef, Thai purple basil, fish sauce and other ingredients. Try the purple sticky rice. In addition to the half-dozen tables in the storefront, there is a pleasant raised pavilion in a courtyard at the back of the restaurant.

    What exactly is 'eh?'

Eh. I don’t feel strongly about it either way. I don’t hate it or love it, I wouldn’t recommend it or dismiss it, it just is.
