  • Kohnotori brings two aspects of Japan to Hawaii - hole-in-the-wall dining and a yakitori-style menu. Don't let this restaurant's miniature size deceive you, for inside lies dishes with big flavors. Almost everything at Kohnotori is sold a la carte and on a skewer. From nankotsu (chicken cartilage) to sasami (chicken breast), nearly all parts of the chicken are used. Other popular choices are beef asparagus and Kahuku shrimp cooked on an open grill. If you're not in the mood for yakitori, Kohnotori also has ramen and fried cheese.

Eh. I don’t feel strongly about it either way. I don’t hate it or love it, I wouldn’t recommend it or dismiss it, it just is.
