What's Nearby?
Try one of these tips to improve your results:
- Ensure your search term was spelled correctly.
- Use a filter, search by neighborhood or drag and zoom the map to check a different part of town.
- Make your search less specific (e.g. Chinese instead of Kung Pao chicken).
- Are we missing a venue or event? Add it and let us know what you think.

With a modern, soaring space and casual, affordable food, Shokudo has a winning izakaya formula. Nibble on unagi and rice, crisped in a hot iron pot, beef tataki sushi and just-made tofu. Sip on honey-yuzu vodka sodas and frozen saketinis. A big, square bar separates a high-ceilinged dining room (dominated by a giant red, hanging fixture) from a tiered dining area illuminated by Noguchi-esque hanging lamps. Got a group? You can pile in at Shokudo, and not break the bank (like the tablefuls of giggling local girls). Parent company Dream Dining Corp. envisions opening lots of similar restaurants across the country in the next decade.
