  • Too bad this popular lunch-only bistro at the Honolulu Academy of Arts isn't open for dinner. It would be a great place to go on a romantic date, with its serene outdoor setting and simple, delicious food. The filet mignon sandwich is awesome, along with the mahimahi soba salad with cucumber-mint relish and shoyu-lime vinaigrette. There'd be an uprising if they took these favorites off the menu. If you haven't tried The Pavilion Cafe, make a reservation. You'll be surprised just how civilized lunch in Honolulu can be.
