Old Saimin House is the epitome of the "keep it simple" philosophy. You can get saimin three ways: plain, with won tun mein and fried. One of the things that make Old Saimin House stand out among Oahu's saimin restaurants is its BBQ sticks. They're among the best in town. Not thin strips of teri beef, but chunks of grilled marinated meat. We just loved the sweetness of the caramelized sugars from the marinade on the meat. We also like the fried udon. Definitely a must try if you decide to stop in.
