  • It's true: Bangkok Chef is no longer confined to that sweaty green garage on Nuuanu. It's expanded to a second location in spanking new quarters in Manoa ; which means air conditioning, more tables and most important, a full-on parking lot! Food-wise, Bangkok Chef-Manoa and Bangkok Chef-Nuuanu are pretty much the same entity. There's no reason to rate one above the other ; unless you're talking parking, size of dining room or ambience. But the truth is, we like that green garage in Nuuanu. We like dodging haphazardly parked cars and walking past a liquor store, a Korean barbecue and a laundromat to get there. On hot days when the place is full and stifling, you can close your eyes, hear the traffic roaring by the open storefront, and almost imagine you're in the real Bangkok. It's a tale of two worlds, almost. Take your pick. You won't go wrong either way.

Eh. I don’t feel strongly about it either way. I don’t hate it or love it, I wouldn’t recommend it or dismiss it, it just is.
